Lemon Cookies (!!)
Recipe: A lemon cookie. Plain and simple.
In October, my friend Beth got married in a beautiful beach-side ceremony. As part of the reception, she and AJ had the most amazing cookie table ever – they had to’ve had around 15 different types of cookies and they all looked fantastic. One of the varieties in particular caught my eye though and basically I just gorged myself on that one cookie all night. And then some the next day. And it was awesome…. Anyway, they were a simple little lemon cookie and I decided today that they needed to be recreated. Because lemon = yum.
Chocolate peanut butter cake…meh.
Recipe: A chocolate sour cream cake with a peanut butter icing, covered with a chocolate-peanut butter glaze.
Sooooo it’s Sunday. And it’s been a bizarre weekend. Solution? Peanut butter and chocolate. Always. Always the solution to bizarre and not-quite-as-great-as-it-could’ve-been weekend is peanut butter and chocolate. Fortunately, I recently stumbled upon a recipe for a cake with just those ingredients! I was wary, however, given that the recipe came with a warning that the cake was quite rich. I also recently had a chocolate peanut butter cupcake that was so rich it made me feel sick, so that also made me wary. But it’s peanut butter and chocolate so I realllllly wanted to try it. Because everything with those two ingredients should at least be given a shot.
